Clutch springs are in constant motion,subjected to compression, Expansion, torque, vibration and distortion.
One way to help the minimize all the force and keep the springs acting Properly and free from binding is to allow the ends of the Springto move freely within the capture area inside the Clutch also called the Springpocket. By placing a spider shim on Each end of the spring, it is allowed to slip when required within the Springpocket preventing binding on the on the spyder or Clutch cover.
The Springwill remain Straight and true.
The kits include two lubricity shims and three additional zinc-plated shims for precision tuning.
Other companies in the market selling the same kits have shown Each washer increases the Springpreload and Clutch engagement speed by 40-50 rpm.
