These new wear pads reduce drag and wear on the Hifax. Designed for the new Polaris and Skidoo long tracks that are not equipped with windows or track clips on each cross bar. Without these anti-wear pads you will have higher Hifax temperature, more drag and sometimes rubber deposits on the Hifax. Eventually damage to the track is also possible.
